How to verify your site on Google Search Console

How to verify your site on search console 2Quite a few people have mentioned to me that they are using this time during Corona Virus to brush up on their digital marketing skills and they are getting their ducks in a row in order to get their marketing in better shape.
So I am posting some free tutorial videos that I hope will help you if you are also thinking of working on your digital marketing and these cover important topics such as remarketing on Facebook, website analytics and lots more.

This is the first video and it covers Google Search Console. If you have a website and you don’t currently use Google search console you should. Some of the benefits include …

• Google will tell you if it discovers any issues on your website that could affect your search rankings
• You can call the Google spider to index your site – very handy if you have updated the site.
• It tells you what search terms people are using when they find your site which is very useful.
• You can tell Google which country you are mainly targeting with your website – some websites target the wrong country without the owner realising.
• Plus lots more.

However, the part that people struggle with is getting started – you need to get your website verified with Search console – you need to prove to Google that you own your website and it can be very technical to do. But in this video I’ll show you an easy way to do that.
