Do you use Instagram for marketing and would you like to see some examples of Irish businesses that are using it really well as a marketing tool? Sometime’s it’s very useful to see what other small businesses are doing on a budget so this is the first in a series of posts where I am highlighting small Irish businesses that I think are using Instagram really well and that you should check out.
The first is @shernamalone.ie Sherna is a beauty and skincare expert based in County Cork and in addition to running workshops for teens her services also include treatments and consultations. If you are thinking about making your own marketing videos to promote your business I suggest you check out Sherna’s Instagram account for some inspiration. She regularly posts videos containing beauty tips and product reviews and is very active on Instagram Stories and IGTV.
Sherna creates high quality videos but manages to do it all on a budget. If you are wondering what equipment she uses, Sherna was kind enough to let us know that she … *Shoots videos with her smartphone
*Uses a Rode smartlav lapel microphone (Around €50 on amazon)
*Uses a Neewer ring light to ensure the lighting looks great (Around €90 on amazon)
*Edits her videos using Filmora editor
I think her Instagram account is excellent. I asked her if she finds Instagram effective as a marketing channel and she told me that her Instagram marketing has definitely increased awareness of her services and generates lots of engagement with customers and potential customers.
You can check out Sherna’s account at @shernamalone.ie and look out for more examples of Irish businesses using Instagram for marketing in posts I’ll be sending out over the coming weeks.
