3 Big changes to Youtube, Instagram and Twitter

recent changes to Instagram, Youtube and TwitterThere have been some very big changes and enhancements to the main social media platforms in the past few weeks. Last week I wrote about Shops coming to Facebook and Instagram but here are 3 other big changes that will impact marketers.
.
🚀 YouTube Rolls Out “Video Chapters”
YouTube is now officially launching its new chapters display for video clips. This means that when you upload a video you can add timestamps into the video progress bar so viewers can easily skip forward to find the content “chapters” they are looking for within the video. This will change how most of us watch Youtube videos and we will skip ahead to sections we are interested in. You can read more about this on Mac Rumours

🚀 Twitter has added the ability to schedule your tweets:
Finally, Twitter introduced scheduling of tweets. It’ s now available when you use Twitter on the desktop and it is in the tweet composer window. It isn’t yet available to mobile apps but the ability to schedule your tweets from within Twitter is long overdue and good news. You can read more on Social Media Today

🚀 You can now share Instagram live broadcasts to IGTV:
Instagram has added a new option which enables users to save their Instagram Live broadcasts to IGTV, making them available for viewing for longer. This is a convenient way to ensure that more people can view your “live” videos after they are recorded but be aware that the likes, comments and views from the Live video will not be carried over to IGTV. You can read more about this on Mashable https://pk.mashable.com/…/instagrams-share-to-igtv-option-i…

It has been a very busy few weeks with lots of changes on social media platforms.

All the best

Evan
